Goal:

Cub Foods had been utilizing 277V-480V metal halide and high pressure sodium fixtures for their exterior lighting. As with any HID source, as time went on the lights became dim and ongoing lamp/ballast maintenance was an issue. Cub understood that upgrading their exterior lighting was just as important as the interior lights within, and were looking to transform their outdoor lighting with a new LED solution.

Results:

There are few visual changes in lighting as drastic as going from 2200K yellow high pressure sodium to 5000K LED. The look of the new Cub exterior lighting now jumps out at customers and also provides an enhanced level of security and safety throughout the entire parking area. Light levels increased by 25% while saving 72% on energy from the old HID source. Payback was set to be achieved in 2 years.
