Hi. I have a bunch of old par 64 and 56 cans. I like the look of them when mixed with rgbs and movers but hate the heat and electric cost. Or the cost of the ax bill as two par 64s are like running a space heater and we have a lot more. Please contact me with info on pricing for 300w equivelatns for par 64 and 56 bulbs that fit in the can. And I don’t like the stark white most white LEDs are. Like a spot I have the white is so white it’s shows bad detail like make up lines on people. Thanks.

Hello, Our church is a small church so budget is a necessity. So we have a par 64 halogen stage light above our pulpit. It puts off a lot of heat. I’d there any solution to using the same par but a different bulb like an led?

  24. TimSeptember 6, 2016 at 12:30 pm #

We have par 65 can lights the small halogen bulbs (I believe they are 800w) however we don’t have to have 800w replacements. I think a 500w led equivalent would be fine. I’m hoping to be able to retrofit the cans I have to save money. Please advise.

    Thank you,

Is this page still active? I see a lot of comments on here with no response. I also am looking to switch to an LED bulb on par 65 cans. Please let me know if you can help.

    • PremierSeptember 12, 2016 at 2:45 pm #

      Hi Angie,

Sorry for the confusion, we have been replying to most comments via email to ensure the user who posted sees it. We do have an LED retrofit for those 500W PAR64 cans you have. The solution uses LED bulbs that are Energy Star rated, dimmable, last 50,000 hours and have a 5 year manufacturer warranty. More info on this retrofit below:

      http://ledt8bulb.com/led-par64-par56-e11-retrofit.html

I would advise getting a test unit if possible. Most get the 3000K 20° configuration but your application may call for something different. If you have any questions just let us know.

Hi, the museum where I work is in the process of converting to LEDs. We’re having difficulty finding a retrofit bulb for the fixtures in one gallery that has 45′ ceilings. We use up to 32 fixtures in the gallery with 500 watt PAR64 medium floods. As an art museum, we require something with a high Color Rendering Index, preferably 90+ CRI. They would not need to be dimmable. Let me know if this is something you can work with. Thanks, Brian
