GE has just released new High Output LED T8 Tubes that are compatible with both Instant Start and Program Start ballasts. These high output LED tubes produce 2200 lumens off 18 watts on a normal ballast factor for a very efficient 122 lumens per watt ratio. With a high ballast factor the lumens go up to 2800, which is the most light out of any LED tube on the market. Plastic construction ensures they are shatterproof. Quick install – just replace fluorescent T8 lamps with these LED lamps and keep the Instant Start or Program Start ballast in the fixture. Note that this means GE is phasing out their older 16W LED T8 Tubes.
