The Xcel Energy DI Program is wrapping up and we are still catching our breath! Premier reps hit the streets at the time the program was announced and when the dust settled, we ended up converting 25,000 fluorescent tubes to LED at no cost to the customer. This included install as well, although there were certain contingencies (such as they had to be easily accessed by a ladder).

The target was low-hanging fruit fluorescent fixtures that commercial facilities had been hesitant for whatever reason to convert. The rules were a bit different for those in the green zone of St. Paul and Minneapolis as they had an easier path to achieve rebates. Reason being is that there are bigger goals in mind; lessening the load on the electric grid for one. Have to free up some power for all the EV chargers that are being installed.
