During the rise of LED years ago, one of the first popular styles of LED fixtures were Edgelit LED Flat Panels. They came in 1×4, 2×2 and 2×4 with dimming being standard and they had a fresh look. However, the light distribution from these fixtures was not ideal and led to glare issues. Enter the new LED Backlit Panel Lights.

Keystone’s Backlit LED Panel Lights utilize a frosted lens for evenly-diffused light with no hot spots. Optical lenses cover each individual LED chip to ensure there is no yellowing over time. Thin, lightweight design featuring 4 knockouts for easy installation whether it’s a retrofit scenario or new construction. Each Backlight LED Panel Light is powered by Keystone’s 0-10V dimmable drivers, allowing for crisp low voltage dimming (0-10V dimmer not included).

Another new feature that is becoming common in new LED fixtures and even some bulbs is the option for Power-Select and Color-Select. This means that the user can choose between 3500K, 4000K or 5000K color temps on the fixture itself, as well as switching between three power options. See the pic above for reference. This adds flexibility for a user who isn’t sure what to get and thus is willing to pay a little more to have that versatility. Keystone also offers all of their Back-lit LED Panel Lights in fixed color temps of 3500K, 4000K or 5000K as well as multiple wattage options for each size. All of which are DLC rated with some being DLC Premium to reap further benefits with efficiency and rebates.

Do you need an LED Backlit Panel Fixture that has emergency back-up capability? Keystone has that too with their SmartSafe Emergency Backups. The compatible part numbers are the KT-EMRG-LED-5-500-EN /DF and KT-EMRG-LED-12-1200-EN /DF.  The difference between the two is that one is 5W 500 lumens output and the other is 12W 1200 lumens output. Both operate for at least 90 minutes in the event that AC power goes out to the fixture.
