The Light Made Easy guys at Keystone are back at it with their recently released Xfit LED Stairwell fixtures. They hit all the bases as far as what you need from your stairwell lighting; from adjustable ultrasonic occupancy sensors to factory-installed emergency capability if needed. Don’t forget the Keystone Power-Select Color Select technology which we are seeing them transition to with nearly all of their LED fixtures. This means you can choose between three color temps and three lumen levels on the LED stairwell fixture itself, meaning no costly returns or time spent deciding which configuration to order. Simply get it to the application area and test out the color/light levels there, and adjust as needed! Available in 2′ and 4′ sizes, each with three wattages levels to choose from and 3500K/4000K/5000K color temps.

Due to the nature of stairwell fixtures, built-in emergency functionality is key so that people in the building have a way out in the event of power loss. Keystone’s SmartSafe Emergency LED drivers are an optional add-on that come in 5W 500 lumen or 12W 1200 lumen to ensure you hit the needed light levels that your local protocols require. Conveniently-located test button is present to make sure it is set up and operating correctly.

Keystone’s Stairwell fixtures feature integrated Ultrasonic Sensing. This technology was chosen as ultrasonic is quicker to react in stairwell applications without direct line of sight relative to a Microwave or PIR sensor that is reliant on a person being in the area to turn on. There is also a spot for adjusting the degree of sensitivity to prevent false “on” states from motion that may be triggered through a wall for example.

Just two SKU’s do the trick – KT-SWLED25PS-2A-8CSA-VDIM-P and KT-SWLED45PS-4A-8CSA-VDIM-P. You can choose the optional adder for the factory-installed Emergency backup or a wire guard. Wire guard part numbers are KT-SWLED-WG-1-KIT for the 2′ version and KT-SWLED-WG-2-KIT for the 4′ version.
